First and foremost, we'd like to thank a member of our community, Marshal Law, who helped solve the mystery behind the long loading times. We have temporarily removed the intro video, and a proper loading screen will be introduced in the upcoming patches.

We also want to inform you that we are currently working on repackaging the client to improve loading speeds on HDDs.

Today, we will be updating the roadmap. In addition to major tasks for future chapters, we will start outlining our plans for the upcoming week. This week's main focus is implementing a flag system to replace the current penalty system for player kills.

Castles and Rune Durability

Ahead of the upcoming changes to castles and the tax system, we've been following the discussions regarding potential Pay-to-Win (P2W) concerns with the sale of elixirs in the store.

Our decision on this matter was straightforward: we have completely removed elixirs from the ROG Store.

Now, regarding rune durability:

  • Rune durability has been increased by an average of 50%;
  • The new durability range (MIN-MAX) for runes is as follows: Т1 = 15-30, Т2 = 20-40, Т3 = 25-50, Т4 = 30-60;
  • If a rune's tier does not match the castle tier, only the MINIMUM durability is reduced by 5 points for each tier of mismatch:
    • Example: A T1 rune placed in a T1 castle (levels 15-30) will receive a random durability between 15 and 30;
    • A T1 rune placed in a T3 castle (levels 75-90) will receive a random durability between 0 and 30;

Localization

  • Added Brazilian Portuguese localization;
  • Fixed localization errors;

Added

  • A new rare mob, the Red Boar, has been added to the forest spawners in all counties. This mob is a source of Thick Skin;
  • Wandering bosses—Rooter, Troll, and Sleeping Leshy—now have spawn points in certain forests across all counties;

Changed

  • Changed the activation timer for the "Claim All" button: 0 seconds for regular mobs, 3 seconds for bosses;
  • Increased character jump height by 25%;
  • Mammoth: Increased turn speed and improved navigation capabilities (it can now more easily traverse uneven terrain);
  • Merchants with empty inventories have been removed from settlements;
  • The blizzard effect now applies every minute instead of every three minutes;
  • Simplified the geometry of the bridge leading from Fazira;
  • Increased the resolution of item icons;

Fixed

  • Fixed a startup loading error that could significantly increase the game's launch time;
  • Fixed an issue where items that should not be dropped on death were being dropped;
  • Fixed an issue preventing remote access to the auction house;
  • Fixed a bug that allowed the Universal Rings provided during the tutorial to be enchanted;
  • Fixed a bug where the blizzard visual effect in Fazira would persist after death if the character had a "Warming Drink" buff active;
  • Fixed incorrect recipes for T7-T9 tower shields;
  • Reduced the collision size for a number of mobs;
  • Removed temporary graveyards in the T3 county (Gwaelot) that were causing characters with neutral or higher karma to respawn in the open world;
