Any Darkfallers?

    A large group of us are going to give the game a go when it comes out.
    We we're wondering if anyone else from Darkfall made it here?

    If NA testers are needed too I think our group would be perfect. Darkfall is basically a faster pace RoG.

    I have a bunch of EU Darkfallers from DF1 and DFII, also checking it out.

    Do you know how many players can be in one area at the same time?

    This FAQ just confused me:
    Actual technical solutions make capable to maintain up to 150 characters within one locations without any problem in 3D MMORPG.

    At the same time, there are no hard restrictions (for example, closing the location).

    Preparing for possible problems in advance, we create implicit restrictions for "overpopulation": remoteness of castles and teleportation tokens; breaking the castle into several locations (the outer part, several interiors, dungeons, remote sentinel posts). The castle capturing mechanics will encourage players to be distributed among locations for a successful siege / defense.

    Hi, So number of players in one area will be around 150. But why this term confused you? Just a few word's about "teleportation tokens" - tokens are like access to spawn point's in castle for both side's (attacker's and defender's) at the same time they are give "overpopulation" a good limitation.Otherwise if you dont have token and died on a siege you will spawn far away from castle, one token per one death, fair enough =)
    So lets make it more clear for all:

    Main principles:
    ●Castle is only ready for capture during the merged phase;
    ●Duration of the merged phase depends on the level of castle and is in the range from 1 to 3 hours of real time;
    ●Before the capture, primary destruction of the forts is necessary, which gives the defenders time to prepare for the siege and reduces the factor of suddenness;
    ●After death, all characters are resurrecting at nearest respawn point (depends of their karma);
    ●For operational attacks on castle's, tokens are required:
    ○ castle tokens (which teleport castle owners directly to the castle,others players - near castle walls);
    ○ common tokens (tokens that teleport to another area of the kingdom located in close proximity to the castle);
    ●Comfortable time to move to the castle - 3-4 minutes of real time (during this time, players manage to get around (put buffs on themselves), group themselves and prepare for an attack);

    Types of captures

    1. “Tablet”:
    1.1.1 Destroy gate's at the forts;
    1.1.2 Burn forts;
    1.1.3 Destroy gate's at the castle;
    1.1.4 Kill all guards (not letting them rise again)
    1.1.5 Activate tablet on yourself;
    1.1.6 Fill the pillar at the time of its whitening;
    It is the fastest form of capture.It requires prompt, well-coordinated actions from the attackers, and gives minimal chances in case of errors.

    2. "Point holding"

    2.1 Destroy gate's at the forts;
    2.2 Burn forts;
    2.3 Destroy gate's at the castle;
    2.4 Capture and hold 3 out of 5 points to capture;
    2.5 Kill the Defender Mage (Special guard);
    2.6. Fill the pillar at the time of its whitening;
    Most common and balanced form of capture.

    3. “Point owning”
    3.1 Destroy gate's at the forts;
    3.2 Burn forts;
    3.3 Destroy gate's at the castle;
    3.4 For a set time, hold more points captured than defenders
    3.5 Fill the pillar at the time of its whitening;

    Most difficult form of capture, aimed at increasing the duration of attacks and their frequency in one castle. It is rare, and only on castles of a low level, with good accessibility, as well as castles that are not involved in the mechanics of “Kings and Counts”. A kind of training ground.

    We will not restrict entry to the location and will try to avoid this as much as possible.
    Now all the methods are in-game:

    1) At the same time several castles will always be merged (available for capture). Logically,attacking side, without 100% confidence in the capture, will be more profitable to attack an empty castle, rather than the one in which the enemies are sitting;

    2) Tokens - unlike other games, they still create certain restrictions on the popularity of various castles; If we see that, for example, some castles are constantly overloaded, which causes discomfort with the fan, then we will change the proportions of the tokens;
    (for example, there is a castle A, it has tokens only from the owner, but not far from castle A there is a token that can be bought from the vendor. We will increase the value of the token or remove it);

    3) we dont have "leveling" between low lvl and high lvl, This is a terrific organic limiter. No one will go at level 31 to fight against 50.
    For low and mid lvl there will be their own castles with cuts. And for the cap, 10+ castle's will be merged at the same time, in addition to the fact that there are still resources that at this time someone should still collect)

    if you suppres the tokens, then you need to give something in return. I already wrote that the arena exists in the concept in several forms, and after the release it will be brought to a high level with its tournaments, seasons, awards.

    And for players who do not want to fight for the castle / guild / resources, but simply want to chop down unfamiliar enemies by Zweikhander, we will have something to do.

    Very nice I am with Chidar, we're hoping to meet more old fellow Darkfallers for this game.
    And hopefully this game will give us a good time to build a new guild from scratch.

    tempted to buy highest pledge ...
